I’ve been so busy with other projects and I have neglected writing my journal. Now it’s time to update the diary and tell the latest news. First of all, I from now on require any person to sign up first in order to post a comment to my weblog entry. I was forced to do so as so many trolls were hacking my website with their unrelated comments of selling drugs online. Somebody may call these persons as spammers. But now they are all welcome to place their comments whatsoever. Placing a comment requires membership. The membership fee is $10 which you pay only once in lifetime. Of course, with exception I decide to cancel the membership. The fee can be paid with PayPal and it’s not refundable. So, happy commenting from now on!

Moonlighting

A week ago on Friday I discovered my favorite TV show published on DVD. This show was running on television in 1980’s starring Cybill Shepherd as Madelyn Maddie Hayes and Bruce Willis as David Addison. And the show was, of course, Moonlighting (Seasons 1 & 2). I simply cannot stop loving this show and watching while the couple always fights and tries to solve mysterious detective assignments. If you haven’t seen the series, take a moment and give you a try. You’re gonna love it, too.

Tonight: Juke Box Jive

Can you believe it's 30 years ago The Rubettes group entered the hit charts. Oh Dear! Time really flies. In 1973 the group was formed and they performed their first list it in 1974 Sugar Baby Love. Hit after another came out and the next super breaker was Tonight in July and right after that Juke Box Jive in November the same year. In March next year, that is 1975, another big hit smashed in the charts, I Can Do It.Sugar Baby Love is no doubt one of the most beloved songs with Tonight. These bring up shivering feelings and unforgettable memories from the time when everything was young and innocent. Check out the site of The Rubettes and learn more about this magnificent group.

A technical statement

Oh my! One of my friends told me about his discovery. He uses a free web site statistics that requires an annoying little graphics to be placed on the page. He likes to get rid off it, but cannot change the measurement code. Now he had found a little trick how to hide the tag forever without destroying anything.This is very simple code with some styling information. It surrounds the statistical code and creates a block around it. This block is then set invisible and placed outside the browser window. Take a look at the code below.

<div id="counter" style="position: absolute;
width: 18px;
height: 18px;
z-index: 1;
left: -18px;
top: -18px;
visibility: hidden;">
<!-- statistical code goes here -->

It has been extremely warm weather for a long time and there are no signs of winter, which should be on its way, I guess. Unless someone has canceled the whole idea of seasons. I cannot remember such a fall in my near history. Well, people say that waiting for winter in warm fall is not extraordinary, but rare.I welcome long warm falls as I don't like so much about cold winter, really. This is just fine and I could live the whole dark time all the way to springtime like this.

Long waited summer

Well, well, well! Soon is the long waited summer over, again. The whole long dark winter I was waiting for the sunny, hot summer. And what I got? A rainy, windy, and wet, cloudy so-called summer. For example, right now I’m sitting indoors looking at the window and counting rain drops. The fall is almost here and it’s time to pack things back for the next summer. I am really disappointed! This summer was way too short!

Chocolate Chips Cookies

Nothing can beat the moment with large glass of cold milk and box of chocolate chip cookies. I hate to admit but this is my worst vice. Aren't those cookies adorable, I mean they are so delicious and I just cannot resist having the whole box emptied while watching the TV. After the show I certainly feel bad having devoured them all. Luckily I have these evening only every now and then and I don't get any more weight so dieting is not needed. I recommend also you to keep a box of juicy brown chocolate chip cookies, just in case.

When you hate your job

Once again I had an opportunity to enjoy an excellent film Office Space directed by Michael Judge. This movie is a comedic tale of company workers who hate their jobs and decide to rebel against their greedy boss. Peter Gibbons, thanks to a hypnotic suggestion, decides not to go to work at the same time his company is laying people off. When layoffs affect his two best friends, they conspire to plant a virus that will embezzle money from the company into their account.Casting of this film is great, too. Ron Livingston as Peter Gibbons, Jennifer Aniston as Joanna, and Gary Cole as the annoying boss Bill Lumbergh, as well as David Herman as Michael Bolton. I really enjoyed this strip, it’s very amusing and perfectly describes the real world in the offices, I suppose. If you happen to hate your job, take a look at this movie, and think if you could find any similarities.

Did he really want to see Lord?

George Harrison, you know the world famous Beatles guitarist (although already passed away) says in his song My Sweet Lord that he really wants to see Lord. His longing was remarkable as George said, "I really want to know You. That won't take long, my Lord." I wonder why? I have wondered this since I first heard the song. Sounds a bit suicidal to sing like that, or how do you see his lyrics? Did Mr. Harrison know that he's going to die prematurely, that I understand what finally happened? I find this mysterious.

Happy New Year

Old year is behind once again; so let’s welcome New Year 2005! I will have many interesting projects this year and anxiously wait for spring to come. Right now there is not so much snow and weather is surprisingly mild. I find this only positive, as I don’t like cold winters. My long-term plan is to have a small cottage somewhere in the Middle Europe. But while waiting for this to happen, I hope all the best for you, too.
